Position: Deputy University Librarian
Qualification/Requirements
- Candidate must possess a good Honour Degree (not below second Class) and Postgraduate professional qualification in Library and Information Science/MLS from recognized Universities
- He/She must have garnered a minimum of 12 years cognate experience in major divisions of the Library, with at least Two (2) years as Principal Librarian in an Academic/Research Library, and must be conversant with major Library software packages and modern trends in the application of ICT to Library services and process
- In the area of scholarship, eligible candidates must have published extensively.
- The candidate, who should be above board and of impeccable character, must have headed at least 3 years different units/division in a Library.
- Candidates should note that, since the position is equivalent to that of a Reader in a University publication will have to be referred for assessment before appointment is made
