On our website and app (coming soon) registered parents will be able to find local childcare providers, tutors and housekeepers and registered childcare providers will be able to connect with parents who need their services. 

Our aim is to create an online community for parents and childcare professionals thereby changing how parent’s look for childcare. 

Created by parents for parents, ChildMinder was created in 2015 by Chika Uzor and Funmi Uzor after using a similar website in the UK to find quality childcare for their sons. They quickly realised Nigerian parents would benefit from having a tool like ChildMinder at their fingertips.



Job Title: Preschool Teacher 
Location: Chevy View Estate. Lekki, Lagos.
Level: At least 12 months experience

Job Description
Our client a Nursery & Preschool located in Lekki requires for immediate employment the service of an EYFS Preschool Teacher with 1-2 years experience to join their team to teach children between the ages of 1-5 years.
Responsibilities 

• Motivating and stimulating children's learning abilities, encouraging learning through experience. 
• Assisting with the development of children's personal, social and language abilities. 
• Maintaining records, monitoring and recording progress of the children. 
• Keep surroundings neat and tidy at all times. 
• Developing children's curiosity and knowledge. 
• Sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents 
• Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning. 
• Organising and supervising play and work activities (for example reading, puzzles and games, music, dancing etc.) 
• Plan lessons, monitor pupils’ achievements and liaise with parents or guardians to optimise their children’s pre-school learning experiences. 

Requirements for this job.

Job Description
Our client a Nursery & Preschool located in Lekki is looking to recruit an experienced EYFS Preschool Teacher to work alongside dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues to teach children between the ages of 1-5 years.
Responsibilities 

• Planning and teaching lessons in line with the British EYFS Learning curriculum. 
• Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning. 
• Organising and supervising play and work activities (for example reading, puzzles and games, music, dancing etc.) 
• Maintaining records, monitoring and recording progress of the children. 
• Ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery. 
• Developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources. 
• Sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents. 
• Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice. 
• Plan lessons, monitor pupils’ achievements and liaise with parents or guardians to optimise their children’s pre-school learning experiences. 
• Help children to develop basic learning skills (verbal, written and numeric) through fun lessons and interesting activities. 

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience to qualify for this Preschool Teacher position; 

• A recognized qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare. 
• Team leadership or supervisory experience in an early years setting. 
• Excellent experience (3-5 years) and knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development to ensure that all the children’s individual needs are met. 
• The ability to supervise and organise the planning of activities following the EYFS curriculum with children and staff. 
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures. 
• Good time management skills. 
• Excellent communication skills. 

Job Title: Nursery Child Minder

Job Description

• Our client, a Nursery and Preschool located in Lekki, Lagos requires for immediate employment the service of a Child Minder to join their team in caring for children ages 3months to 5 years.
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime. 
• Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the problems to the attention of the Proprietor/ Parent. 
• Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interest. 
• Keep surroundings neat and tidy at all times. 
• Applicants should be 18 years old and above and MUST possess at least SSCE/NECO Certificate and proven childcare work experience with references. 
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care. 
• Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children. 
• Help children keep good hygiene. 
• Change the diapers and soiled clothings of infants and toddlers. 
• Feed children and ensure they are comfortable at all times. 
• Research, create and organize activities so that children can learn about the world and explore interests.
