As a result of expansion and strategic positioning, we are searching for some experienced individuals as follows:
1. Job Title: Optical fiber Field Maintenance Engineer(Nigeria) ; REF - 001
Roles and Responsibilities:
Optical fiber route survey (Route choice, Site BOQ, Drawing of design, Statistics of the main technical parameters)
Project materials statistics and ready (According to the design and calculation of the required materials, Provide reasonable purchase quantity)
Meeting the subcontractors to clarify the necessary technology.
Project implementation of relevant government departments and the local community communication.
Management subcontractors progress and quality.
Local staff management
Proficiency in the use of project related industrial equipment (OTDR, Optical Power Meter, Optical Source, Fusion machine, Fiber Indentifier, etc)
Understanding procedure(Cable splicing, Cable blowing/floating, Cable boring/drilling)
Acceptance of the project process management and document preparation
Submit all progress reports and documentation requirements of the company in the project implementation process.
Skills and Competence Summary
Proficient in Optical fiber project Technology and process
Multi-vendor technologies expertise - MTN, ETISALAT, AIRTEL
Proficiency in the use of project related industrial equipment
Excellent Microsoft Office suite skill
Excellent AutoCAD suite skill
Excellent Communication Skills.
Qualification and Experience
Should have at least HND in Engineering or related Qualification or Physical Sciences
At least 2 years working experience on the same role
Excellent Communication skills
Excellent ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision
Excellent use of Microsoft Office packages
Excellent AutoCAD suite skill

Experience
• Installation of Power Supply Sources (PHCN-Generator Hybrid System), 1.6MVA Transformer & 3*500KVA Generators on ATS
• Installation and Maintenance of Diesel Generators, Air-Conditionings, & Lighting systems
• Installation & Maintenance of Auto-Power Transfer System (ATS) at Customer locations
• Installation of MCBs and Change-over switches and restoration of faulty power supply lines
• Ensured 100% Power availability in the Switch House and Cell-Sites (Base Sub-Station) by coordinating the operations of Technicians in installation/Maintenance of Diesel Generators, Transformers, UPS, Rectifiers, RMU, Feeder-Pillar, Pumps/Motors, Metering unit, ATS, etc.
• Monitoring Fire Alarm Systems and Earthing/Lightning/Thunder Protection Systems
• Involve in Sites’ Survey for new Links & Field inspections/supports for Cell-Sites engineers
• Ensured minimum or no downtime at Customer locations during Field operations
• Candidate must be able to update all Electrical and Design circuitries and arranged for periodic building Maintenance
• Mini-Warehouse Controller for Spares: Transmission, BSS, Power (Electrical & Generator)
• Candidate must be able to design, Plan, Analyze and Implement for upgrades & deployment of critical infrastructure for existing/new facilities owned/leased/used by VCL
• Maintained liaison with Facility operations, Transmission team, BSS team, MS-Team, IT-Team, VAS/Core Network, Enterprise Solution, Project, Property, & Admin. for facility update

• Should have at least HND in Electrical Engineering or related Qualification.
At least 5 years related field experience
