Position: IT Security Specialist
Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions
- To implement and operate firewalls and security infrastructures and service products
- To also help with Implementation of Security infrastructure changes by applying BBS standard procedures and tools
- To assist with troubleshooting, Incident 2nd/3rd Level Support, Escalation, and Problem Solving.
- To participate and involve in regular Global Team meetings
- Support concerned departments in order to resolve reported security issues
- To collaborate across organization with internal BBS, the countries IT and the business, and external vendors on the operation, project implementation
- To operate the SIEM-Console to monitor the events in a real-time manner
- To Perform initial investigations on events with suspicious behavior
- To build filters to extract the relevant information on occurring security relevant events
- To help Generate graphical reports for better understanding of ongoing threats
- To Provide Bill-of-Materials and architecture design
- To Help Develop comprehensive technical account plans
- To Qualify accounts technically, developing demonstration criteria, delivering Proof-Of-Concepts and planning closes
- To Conduct Channel partner technical enablement training/briefing
- Follow-up on accounts for functional/technical issues related to sales cycle
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent
- Good knowledge in IT Security.
- Excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills.
- At least 2-3 years professional experience in the area of network/IT security
- Strong experience in IPS and Professional certifications for Firewall (Certified Information System Security Professional) are advantage.
- Basic knowledge in database, network security and common protocols such as IP, ARP, TCP, etc
- Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Ability to read and understand system and network traffic data including security event logs, system logs, application logs, etc.
