Job description
To ensure Health, Safety and Environment has the highest priority in all activities undertaken by Engineering and Design personnel.
Assist Lead Engineer in selection of personnel to staff project design team, and allocate work accordingly.
Encourage staff on awareness of Company safety and quality objectives. Participate in intra and inter discipline review of drawings.
Proficiency in 3D software for preparation of 3D Models, auto-generation of MTOs, detection and modification of clashes between piping, equipment and structural members, extraction of 2D drawings from 3D Models and general presentation of projects.
Lead team of designers in Preparation of General Arrangement drawings, Sections, Elevations, Details, Layouts, Area classification drawings, Line diagrams, Cable trays, etc. for oil & gas installations such as Flow stations, offshore Platforms and a host of others.
Identify and develop in-departmental training exercises for junior designer enrichment.
Provide Lead Engineer with MDR list and CTR and schedule estimates (understanding of scope, identification of deliverables and requisite man-hours to produce deliverables.
Check drawings produced by juniors, and assist Lead Engineers with MDR list, and producing CTR estimates (understanding of scope and requisite man-hours to produce deliverables.
Job Requirements
Job Specific Knowledge:
Substantial proven experience of detailed Electrical design and drafting activities gained with notable design contractors.
Industry Specific Experience:
8 - 15 years’ experience in Offshore / FPSO Oil and Gas Design industry.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
ONC / OND/ HND certificate.
HSE Capability:
Safety – Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for WorleyParsons. Understand and follow HSE procedures.
IT Skills:
Excellent knowledge and use of PDMS / PDS, AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION and MS Office Suite.
People Skills:
Proven leadership, excellent coordination and communication skills
